Digestive Writing Scores draws from a growing archive of somatic writing scores. Approaching writing as something that moves through the body, I introduce methods of embodied critical learning and encourage the group to disrupt familiar pathways. Through body scans and gentle movement improvisation, participants experiment with relations between words, gestures, and sensations. Movement becomes a form of writing, re-writing, and re-wiring: positioning the body as a source of knowledge and structure within the classroom. The workshop is designed for any range of movement and experience.
