Micaela Terk (New York, 1990) is a designer-facilitator and writer-publisher with a background in conflict mediation and movement research. Her workshops, events, projects, and writings shed light on bodily sense-making as integral to knowledge production. Micaela extends movement-based invitations in educational institutions: i.e. universities, museums, research institutes, and academic conferences. She frequents the role of disruptor when possible. Her work as an educator holds space for nurturing connections between creative movement, language, and critical making.
Micaela is the founder of Goodbye Books and director & co-founder of the Embodied Knowledge Bureau. She is also a founding member of infiguringout, an international collective that integrates movement-based and somatic approaches within design education and practice.
